Since 1951 the Gil family has been offering a warm and friendly welcome to guests at its 3 star hotel « Le Mirador ». Facing the Mediterranean at Portiragnes-Beach(34-Hérault), à 7km from Beziers airport in the Languedoc Roussillon region of the south of France.

 

Portiragnes Plage, which has held a “Blue Flag” for its seaside resort since 1996 and a Station Verte Green Resort” for its countryside since 2007, boasts a fine sand beach insulated from its buildings by restored sand dunes held in place by their greenery.  More than anything it’s a family resort on a human scale, which has prided itself on protecting the environment, keeping its concrete discreet.Portiragnes Plage is a young and sporty resort where pedestrians and cyclists are king.  Greenery is everywhere; a short walk takes you to a mini-Camargue – no longer the sea, but not yet land, the domain of ducks, herons and pink flamingoes.  A little further on brings you to the shady banks of the Canal du Midi.
